Why I Created KTN Fun

My name is Larry Pearlman. I’m 75 years old and the president of PTE Group, Inc. For nearly 25 years, I have been developing this game around my kitchen table as a way to relax and take my mind off business.

Today, with the help of AI, I can finally develop it in a form that I can share with everyone. KTN Fun is about discovering unexpected connections—and enjoying those wonderful “Aha!” moments.

How KTN Fun Works

Every letter is assigned a value from 1 through 9. After 9, the values repeat. J is the 10th letter, so 1 + 0 = 1. K is the 11th letter, so 1 + 1 = 2.

Y is always counted as a vowel in KTN Fun. Vowels are totaled and reduced to one digit. Consonants are totaled and reduced separately. All letters combined produce the Sum Total.
